LT Colonel Frank H. Hamilton,

US Army (Ret)

Age 82, of Landenberg, PA, passed away on March 18, 2013.

Frank was born to the late William and Agnes Hamilton. He was graduate of the University of Delaware.

Frank served his country as an Officer in the United States Army - Retiring as a Lt. Colonel after 27 years of service. He was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars with his last overseas duty in Thailand. Frank received numerous medals including the National Defense Medal, Korean Service Medal, Bronze Star Medal, United Nations Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal with 60 device, Vietnam Armed Forces Honor Medal 1st Class and Legion of Merit.

Frank is survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbara H. Hamilton, his sons, Bob (Theresa), Bill ( Karen), John (Sue), Frank (Kathie), Jim (Lynn), his grandchildren, Stefanie, Kari, Lisa, Erin, Kristin, Brian, Michael ,Daniel, Erica, Matthew, Thomas, Lauren and Megan.

Friends may call on Thursday, March 21, 2013 from 6-8 pm at the MCCRERY & HARRA FUNERAL HOME, 3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilm., DE 19808. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 22, at 2 pm at St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, East Main & Chapel Sts., Newark, DE 19711. Burial with Military Honors will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Frank's name to Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
