AGE: 85 • Newark

Genevieve L. Ainsworth, 85, of Wilmington, DE., died on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 in the Heartland Hospice House. Born and raised in Wilmington, DE., she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Stella (Plystak) Kosek. Genny retired from Bell Atlantic after 33 years of service as a senior operator. She was a member of the Minquas Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. Genny loved to shop.

Genny was also predeceased by her husband Arthur W. "Wally" Ainsworth, her brothers, William, Vincent, Raymond, Alfred and Joseph Kosek; her sisters, Mary Quashne and Dorothy Morris; and a grandson.

She is survived by her son, James Babcock (Virginia); her friend and caregiver whom she called "granddaughter", Stacey Baldwin (Mike) and her family; 2 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude and sincere thanks to the staff of the Heartland Hospice House. A committal service will be held in the chapel at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE., on Wednesday, April 2nd at 1PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Genevieve may be sent to the Heartland Hospice House, 5661 Ocheltree Lane, Wilmington, DE 19808.
