Age 81, of Wilmington, DE, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 2, 2013. Mr. Jackson worked at United Water Company for 35 years. He served our country in the US Army during the Korea War. Jack also worked 18 years at the bread store in the Boothwyn Farmers Market with the love of his life Rosemary. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and had a great sense of humor and was known for teasing everyone. Most of all Jack loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren that were the light of his life.
Jack is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Rosemary Jackson; a son, Jeff "Spider" Jackson and wife Diane; daughter, Karen Wolf and companion Henry Fenimore; also survived by a brother and 2 sisters; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a son, Ronnie "RJ" Jackson and a daughter, Judy Jackson; 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
A visitation will be held on Monday, July 8, 2013 in the Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Rd., Newark, DE 19702 from 6 to 8 pm and again on Tuesday, July 9 from 10 to 11 am followed by a service in celebration of Jack's life at 11 am. Burial will be in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
