Mr. James Eliot Booge III died March 4 at St. Francis Hospital. He was born in Wilmington in 1937, attended Salesianum School, graduated from Archmere Academy and St. Joseph's College. He was devoted to the Catholic faith. He loved the outdoors and water activities, animals and anything relating to cars. He worked as an automobile mechanic for some years and in the automobile industry; a continuous piston ring that he invented was used by many professional racers.
Jim is survived by his son, James (Jeb) Eliot Booge IV, his wife Jane, their children James (Eli) Eliot V, Madison (Maddie) and Jake, all of Downington, PA; a daughter, Jennifer Booge Gemberling, her husband Chad and their daughter Annika all of Denver, NC. He also is survived by a sister, Jacqueline (Jackie) Booge Flood and her husband Peter of New Hampshire and their children Jessica and Chris Leitz, Susan and Chuck McLaughlin, Deborah and Sergey Sevastyanov and Nicholas Flood; cousins Dick and Grace Rowe and Mary Margaret Donahue, also nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, April 9th at 10 AM at Mealey Funeral Home, 703 N. Broom Street, Wilmington. Interment will be private.
