Jill Goldner Obituary
Age 50, of Wilmington, DE, went home to be with the Lord on September 11, 2011.
She was in the first graduating class of the Wilmington Christian School in 1979 and received her BS in History from the University of Delaware. She was a member of Ogletown Baptist Church. Jill was an accomplished teacher and speaker for many bible study groups. She was a Sunday school teacher for 25 years at both Bethany and Ogletown Baptist Churches. Jill was a Children's Curriculum writer for Lifeway Christian Services for 19 years and an administrative assistant at the Sunday Breakfast Mission.
Jill is survived by her husband of 27 years, Stephen L. Goldner; her children, Ryan J. Goldner of Chicago, IL, and Carolyn M. Goldner at home; parents, Ann R. and Joseph M. Jacobs, Jr; mother and father-in-law, Arlene and Robert Goldner; sister, Susan J. Savopoulos (Sotiere) of Oakland, MD; and 5 nephews and 1 neice.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 14, from 6-8 pm at the MCCRERY & HARRA FUNERAL HOME, 3710 Kirkwood Highway at Duncan Road. A memorial service will be on Thursday at 11 am, at Ogletown Baptist Church, 316 Red Mill Road, Newark, DE 19713 where friends may call after 10 am. Interment will be private. Contributions may be made to the Sunday Breakfast Mission, 110 Poplar St., Wilmington, DE 19801. To send condolences

I didn't get opportunity to see Jill much, because we worked different shifts, but the times I did she always had a smile, kind words and a pleasant spirit. I sympathize with you in the loss of your beloved, Cherish the memories because now she is gone and at peace with God above. No more suffering no more pain. Praying that God will continually keep and bless you all.

Dear Steve, Ryan and Carolyn, I am so very sorry to hear about Jill's passing. Though I had not seen her several years, I remember lots of chats that we had over our girls in their middle school years! Praying that the God of all comfort will give you strength for the days ahead.

Ann and Joe,
Never having been blessed with children, I can't begin to imagine your loss. Jill was the best female friend I ever had. For reasons He only knows, God chose to through us together. I will always be grateful for the time we had together. She was admired, respected and loved and I will miss her deeply.

It is difficult at times such as this to seperate our feelings. While I have lost a cherished friend and confidante, I also rejoice knowing that she will be greeted with, "Well done, my good and faithful servant." Steve, Carolyn and Ryan, I can't begin to imagine the pain and sorrow you are now feeling. Please know that she was much admired and loved and will be sorely missed. I love you all God Bless.
