John Paul Jones
The Guest Book is expired.
Age 64, passed away on September 16, 2013. Born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware, John later found Port Angeles, Washington where he made his home.
John Paul Jones was named after a Revolutionary War Naval hero. Although he himself could not even swim, that did not stop him from being a hero in his own life. He was that man to his wife, Alena; sons, Macaire and Dane; beloved granddaughters, Aixi and Zuzu; sisters, Tricia and Kathy; and all of their spouses, sons, daughters and grandchildren. The families - Jones, Elias and Hebles were just a few who were included in his tribe.
John was the friend who came into your day with a smile, a wave and a greeting to brighten your day. He used humor and stories to heal and he was a sage that did not judge.
John loved to know everything about everything via a collection of books that led him to places and times that he could not physically embody. He was passionate about his food (cooking and eating) and the search for the best led him far and wide, all the while honing his gift of "food radar" to continue on that quest.
John's love of discovery led to travel, collecting, antiquing, studying in-depth the North West Coast Native American cultures, bird watching, beekeeping, gardening, nature and exploring many other subjects including movies, sports, and current events. In addition, art, music and his own deep spirituality gave even more color to the spectrum of his life.
