Margaret J. Owens

On December 4, 2012, Margaret peacefully joined her soul mate Brian and granddog Angel after battling cancer and a broken heart.

She succumbed to her illness at her home in Claymont, where her family settled after immigrating to America in 1966.

Margaret devoted her life to caring for her family. Every Sunday she prepared a well-over 3 course meal for her sons Karl and Neal, daughter-in-law Dawn, grandchildren Bradley and Audra, Brad's fiancee Stephanie and their dog Bruno. She even prepared a special meal for her granddogs. She also enjoyed the company of her sisters and close friends when they visited her from all over globe.

When she wasn't caring for her family, she enjoyed being in the company of her second family at Patterson Woods. Margaret truly loved the time she spent as an office manager and would stop in Patterson Woods to help out even after retirement.

Margaret attended Litherland Secondary School in England, where she met her husband. She attended Skerry Business College after she and Brian wed.

Friends are invited to celebrate Margaret's life at the home of her son, from noon to 4 pm, 4805 Lancaster Pike, Greenville 19807 on Sunday December 9. Food and beverages will be served.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers contributions to the , www.cancer.org.
