Age 83 of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2013,
Marion was born in Wilmington on February 7, 1929, daughter of the late Luigi and Anna (Zampini) Casapulla. She was a proud owner of Casapulla's Steak and Sub Shop, where she worked with family for many years. Marion was an active and lifelong member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, serving on its Feast Day Committee and annually processing with the statue of Madonna Di Misericordia, and was also a member of the parish's BVM Sodality. She was the family cook and was known for her phenomenal homemade pastas and pastries. Above all, Marion was a loving homemaker, endlessly devoted to her loved ones.
Marion was predeceased by her husband Carl Stalloni, and sisters, Rose Borrelli and Elizabeth Moore. She is survived by her daughter, Julia Marsini and her husband Nicholas Jr.; grandchildren, Nicholas III and Carl; siblings, Vincetta Sparco, Philomena Carey, Joseph Casapulla, Andrew, Louis Casapulla, and Jeanne DiFrancesco; and many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the doctors, nurses, and staff of Compassionate Care Hospice and Foulk Manor North for their loving and attentive care of Marion.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 9th and DuPont Sts. in Wilmington, on Friday morning, February 8 at 11am. Entombment will follow in Cathedral Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the CHARLES P. ARCARO FUNERAL HOME, 2309 Lancaster Ave. in Wilmington, on Friday morning, prior to mass, from 8:30-10:30am.
