Mary A. Lam

Mary A. (Keen) Lam, 79 of Wilmington, Delaware, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday, November 17, 2012.

Mary was born in West Chester, PA on June 8, 1933, daughter of the late David and Bernice (Michener) Keen. She was employed with General Motors at the Boxwood Road Assembly Plant and was a member of St. John the Beloved Parish. A loving, generous and nurturing person, Mary was a true Christian who always placed the needs of others above her own. Her family was truly the center of her life, and she especially enjoyed spending time with her beloved grandsons.

Mary will be dearly missed by her husband of 59 years, Orville J. Lam; her daughter, Tina C. Sheridan and her husband, Charles; and her grandsons, Damian Davis, Shannon Davis and his wife, Veronica and Josh Davis. She is also survived by her sisters, Ann Barkley (Charles), Alice Cochrane (Richard) and Bernice Graham (Lester); her brothers, Paul Keen (Tanya) and Harry Keen (Loretta); and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Sonny, Davey, Steve, Charles and Eddie Keen.

Family and friends are invited to visit at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Monday, November 26 from 9:30 - 11:00AM. Funeral services will begin at 11:00AM, with interment to follow in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
