Mary E. Paxson
Mary Elizabeth Paxson, 72 of Hockessin Delaware, passed away at Christiana Hospital on July 24, 2012 with her son by her side.
Born Mary Elizabeth Small on November 2, 1939, in Des Moines Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Lyle and Edna Small. She was united in marriage to, Harold Eddy Paxson on June 26, 1960, her one and only true love.
Mary relished her family and took great pride in being a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Always finding time to be involved in her children's school activities, ensuring they had whatever they needed to be successful. Later in life, her greatest pleasure came from spending time with and lovingly doting on her grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in her death by her dearly beloved husband of 19 years; Harold Eddy Paxson who died in 1979 and her parents Lyle and Edna Small. She is survived by her 3 children, Mike Paxson, Karen Kuhne, Lori Polkowski; seven grandchildren, a great-granddaughter, two sisters and a brother.
Services will be held at Pursel-Davis Funeral Home Marshalltown, Iowa on Friday, August 3, at 11 am.
