Michael J. CARNEY

Michael J. Carney Age 54 of Wilmington, DE died suddenly on Friday, August 8, 2003 in Limerick, PA as a result of an automobile accident. Born in Claymont, DE, "Mick" was the son of Thomas and Mildred Carney. Mick attended Holy Rosary Elementary School and Archmere Academy and graduated from the University of Delaware. Mick worked for many years in sales and most recently was employed as a substitute teacher in the Colonial and Brandywine school districts. Mick was best known as a talented comedian and musical performer, having appeared in many establishments in the tri-state area. He enjoyed entertaining and making people laugh. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Mick is survived by his children, Laura and David; his brothers, Tom and his wife, Dori, of FL, Jim and his wife, Jeanne, of DE and Rob and his wife, Joan, of MD; his friend and companion, Teresa Rose Miccio; his former wife, Joan Wilson and her husband, Jim; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and many friends. In addition to his parents, Mick was predeceased by his brother, Tim. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 16, 2003 at 10 am in Holy Rosary Church, 3200 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday evening, August 15, 2003, from 7-9 in the MCCRERY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 3924 Concord Pike, Talleyville.
