Olga Mazzetti Fedele

Olga Mazzetti Fedele, 89, of Hockessin, Delaware passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2013.

Olga was born in Canton, Ohio on September 28th, 1923 and was the daughter to the late Adolfo and Amelia Mazzetti. She graduated from Wilmington High School in 1941. After a short career at Hercules Incorporated, Olga went on to obtain her Real Estate brokers license at the University of Pennsylvania School of Real Estate. She spent 36 years in Real Estate, of which 13 glorious years were spent with Patterson-Schwartz Realtors.

Olga lived a long and fulfilling life, always surrounded by loving family and friends. She was a gourmet chef and loved cooking for family and friends. Her eggplant parmesan was legendary. She spent her retirement years writing a cook book with many wonderful recipes. She loved crocheting while watching the Virginian and the game show network.

Olga was predeceased by her husband, Edmund in 1977; her sister, Gloria Caimi, and sister-in-law, Josephine Mazzetti. She is survived by daughters, Victoria Fedele Ambriano (John) with whom she lived, and Diane Fedele Reese, grandchildren, Bessie Reese and Edmund (Toby) Reese; sister, Lucia Shepherd (Edward); brothers, Renzo Mazzetti, George Mazzetti (Edwina), and Remo Mazzetti; step grandchildren, Angela, Eva, and John Patrick Ambriano; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 301 N. Bancroft Pkwy., on Friday, March 22 at 11 am. Entombment will be in Cathedral Cemetery. Family and Friends may visit on Thursday, March 21 from 4 to 8 pm at Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Rd., Pike Creek.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Olga to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Delaware Chapter, 100 West 10th St., Wilmington, DE 19801.
