Robert Michael Cooke, 66 of Milford, DE, passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2014, after a lengthy illness.

Mike was born in Wilmington, on February 24, 1948. He was the son of the late Harold and Kathryn (Scanlon) Cooke. A graduate of Salesianum School, class of 1966, he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business from the University of Delaware. While at Delaware, Mike was a member of the Delta Tau Delta fraternity, to which he remained loyal and connected throughout his life. Additionally, Mike was a U of D football season ticket holder for many years. Mike worked in manufacturing management for the duration of his career. Most recently, Mike was employed as an inventory controller with Boeing until his retirement four years ago.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Kevin Cooke; and his nephew, Todd Sammons.

Mike will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 46 years, Victoria (Smoot) Cooke; his daughters, Rori Oakes and her husband, Duane, Karen Godoy and her husband, Michael, and Kelly Benner and her husband, Brandon; and his grandchildren, Jack, Kathryn, and Brendan Oakes, Amada, Meghan, and Corbin Godoy, and Olivia, Amelia, and Adeline Benner. He is also survived by his brothers, Paul and Harold Cooke; and his nieces and nephews, Tara and Amy Cooke, Kristopher Willey, Thomas and Barry Donahue, and Shawn Cooke.

Family and friends are invited to visit at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Thursday, March 13 from 5:00-7:00PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Angels Church, 82 Possum Park Road, Newark on Friday, March 14 at 10:30AM. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
