Thomas Edward Sidell
Thomas Edward Sidell passed peacefully from this world on Thursday August 30, 2012, at the age of 51. Tom was a loving son, brother and uncle. Tom was a gifted musician, an energetic and persistent artist and he enjoyed family gatherings and entertaining with his guitar and banjo.
Thomas was born in Easton, Maryland on June 20, 1961. As a young boy, Tom moved to Wilmington, Delaware with his family and attended the Red Clay Public Schools. Tom was a member of the Varsity Cross Country Track Team and he graduated from Alexis I. duPont High School in 1979.
Tom was a very generous man who shared his life, his music, his art and a good story with everyone who would take the time to know him. He fought a life-long battle with mental illness, but always returned to his sweet disposition. He loved the outdoors, and enjoyed taking long walks. He was loved will be sincerely missed.
Tom was predeceased by his father, Robert L. Sidell. Tom is survived by his mother Nancy J. Sidell; his 8 brothers and sisters, Robert J. Sidell, Kim Sidell Christy, Kathleen Sidell, Mark Sidell, Christopher Sidell, Jeffrey Sidell, Theresa Reed and Patrick Sidell; and their spouses and children.
A private family service will be held on Sunday, September 23, 2012.
