Age 84, of Woodcrest Villa, Lancaster, PA, passed away, Tuesday, July 30, 2013. Tom was the husband of Virginia Baxter (Long) Mullin. They had celebrated 32 years of marriage. He was also the husband of the late Joan Divine Mullin who passed away in 1980.
Tom had retired as a program manager for the Thiokol Corp., Elkton, MD. He had graduated from the Williamson Trade School in 1947. He had proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War. Tom was a master carpenter, who enjoyed woodworking and playing golf.
He was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church, Quarryville, PA, a past master of F. & A.M. Hiram Lodge #25, Newark, DE, Toastmasters, and a worthy patron of O.E.S. Robert Fulton Chapter # 446. He had always been very active in the lives of his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Tom is survived by 2 daughters; Janet Sample Kurman (Jack), Joyce Beaudet (Steve), 2 sons; Mitchell Long (Michelle), Marshall Long (Cathleen), 14 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Donna Brackin Long, and a sister, Louise James (Frank). He was predeceased by a son, Michael Long, and a sister, Audrey Long.
A funeral service will be held, Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at 11 A.M. at Memorial United Methodist Church, 101 S. Hess Street, Quarryville, PA. Interment will follow at Union Hill Cemetery, Kennett Square, PA. Viewings will be held Monday evening from 6:30-8 P.M. at Reynolds Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA, and on Tuesday at the church from 10-11 A.M.
