Age 28, of Newport, DE, departed this life and went home to be with the Lord on Nov. 4, 2012 in Wilmington, DE as a result of an auto accident.
Born in Somers Point, NJ to Betty and Stephen Carl Mays Sr., she attended the Pleasantville, NJ public schools and relocated to Wilmington in 1992 where she graduated from the John H. Dickerson High School. She worked for many years at the local Arby's restaurant as a Manager and she was lastly employed as a Supervisor in the Currency Dept. at Garda Armored Services.
A member of Greater Faith Temple C.O.G.I. C. of Colonge, NJ, she is survived by: her parents, Betty Mays of Wilmington, Pastor Stephen Mays Sr. of Egg Harbor Twp. and Elder Anthony Mays of Pleasantville (the father-figure who raised her.); four sisters, Cheri and Precious Mays of Wilmington, Shirley Santiago (Sgt. Carlos) of Jacksonville, NC and Shekinah Mays of Egg Harbor Twp.; three brothers, Anthony Jr. of Wilmington, Franklyn Price of Pleasantville and Stephen Jr. of Egg Harbor Twp.; maternal-grandparents, Pastor & Co-Pastor Donald and Evelyn Biddle of New Ministries family Worship Center of Newark, DE; paternal-grandparents, Elder James and Shirley Mays of Amazing Ministries of Pleasantville; a special neice, Julianna Mays and two special nephews, Nasir and Xavion Santiago and a host of other loving relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held on Sat., Nov. 10, at 11 am at the New Shiloh Community Life Center, 701 Atlantic Ave. Viewing at church from 9 to 11 am.
