Victor E. DiRienzo

AGE: 50 • Newark, DE

Victor E. DiRienzo, age 50, of Newark, DE, was called home too soon to be with his Lord. He was a 1981 graduate of Newark High School. Victor was a skilled carpenter, craftsman, and just a good ole jack of all trades. A friend with a pickup truck full of tools, Victor would gladly help any that asked with any task. He was most proud of his membership with all the friends and family at Newark Anglers Association, Inc. at Sunset Lake. Victor was at peace whenever he was at the lake and hiking in the shore line woods where he shared many happy hours with his best friends, Gibby, Eddy, Bob, Wade and Cherie. A gifted drummer, Victor toured Europe with the American Youth Jazz Band. Always a true and devoted son, brother, and faithful friend, Victor will be dearly missed.

Victor is survived by his loving parents, Victor and Judy; sister, Lisa and her husband Andy Rocheford; aunts, Jean Marie Shannon and Angeline DiRienzo; uncle, Martin DiRienzo and his wife Cindy; cousins, Jerry Koveleskie, Gina Koveleskie and Michael Shannon and his wife Katie. He is preceded in death by his cousins Mark Shannon, Shelly DiRienzo and many other dear cousins. Victor had a very special place in his heart for his little pet, his sleeping buddy CheCheWaWa.

Friends and family are invited to a celebration of Victor's life on Friday, November 22, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the lake facilities, 2271 Sunset Lake Road, Newark, DE 19702. Dress will be casual as we will be where Victor loved to be the most - at the lake, outdoors with nature, to share stories, love, and fond memories. In lieu of flowers, donations to help defray expenses can be made in memory of Victor to: Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Road Newark, DE 19702.
