Victoria A. "Vicky" Ang

Victoria Alambat Ang, 65, of Newark, DE went to the Lord peacefully on May 5, 2012, with her loving family by her side.

Victoria was born on May 21, 1946 in Betis, Guagua, Pampanga, Philippines to Carlos and Paciencia Alambat. She graduated from the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines in 1966. She moved to the U.S. (Wisconsin) in 1967 and then to Delaware in 1969. Victoria enjoyed a long career as a Medical Technologist working for Medlab, the Medical Center of DE, and Christiana Care.

She was a devout Catholic and a longtime parishioner of St. John the Beloved Church.

Victoria enjoyed playing tennis, ballroom dancing, and watching the Phillies. She was a loving wife and mother who, above all, enjoyed spending time with her family and dog, Cleo, and more recently, being with her precious grandson, Harrison.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Paciencia, and her brother, Tony. Victoria is survived by her husband of 45 years, Dr. Nestor; her 3 sons, Nestor Jr., Vincent, and Anthony and his wife Lala; her grandson, Harrison; her father, Carlos; her brother, Alex, and her sister, Esperanza.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 12 at 1:30 pm at Saint John the Beloved Church, 907 Milltown Rd.. Family and friends may visit on Friday, May 11 from 6 to 8 pm at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Rd., Pike Creek.

Burial will follow Mass in the All Saints Cemetery, Kirkwood Hwy., Wilmington, DE.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions may be in memory of Victoria to Saint John the Beloved Church, 907 Milltown Rd., Wilmington, DE 19808.
