AGE: 78 • Hockessin

Passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family. He was the son of the late Canio and Rose (Addesi) Caputo. He was the beloved husband of 49 years to Vivian (Raffaele). He was the father to Kim (Joe Truitt) with whom he resided, Karen and Debbie; grandfather to Matthew, Morgan, Grace, Mason and Samantha. He is also survived by his 6 brothers; Pasquale, Francis, Dan, Joseph, Anthony and Bruno and numerous nieces and nephews.

He worked for the Plumbers/Pipefitters Local 74 for 20 years and Hercules Research Center for 25 years retiring in 1997. In his spare time, he took pleasure umpiring his daughter Debbie's high school softball and his grandson Matthew's baseball games. He also enjoyed bowling in his early years. He devoted over 25 years of his life to St. Anthony of Padua Italian Festival and managing the Seafood Cafe.

The family would like to thank Lyn Irelan for all her support, love and care she gave "Pop" and to Delaware Hospice, especially Renee and Michael.

A viewing will be held Friday, March 7, 2014 from 5-8pm at Mealey Funeral Homes, Limestone and Milltown Roads Wilmington, DE. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 901 N. Dupont Street, Wilmington, DE 19805 on Saturday, March 8 at 10am followed by entombment at Cathedral Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made in Vince's name to St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church at the above address or Delaware Hospice, 16 Polly Drummond Center, Newark, DE 19711.
