Born in Wilmington, DE on October 9, 1933, "Pop Pop Bull" left us suddenly on Sunday, December 1, 2013 to join his beloved wife in heaven.
Bill graduated from Wilmington High School and worked as an electrician for Speakman, where he met his wife, Peggy. They were married on September 12, 1959. Bill then was an electrician and member of IBEW 313 until his retirement. He was an avid golfer and bowler, with a great number of trophies to show for his favorite sports.
A devoted husband, father, son-in-law, brother and pop pop, Bill is predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Margaret "Peggy" (Bellini), and is survived by his daughters, Carla A. Berster and Cathleen D. Hitchens; his sons-in-law, Gerald Berster and Lawrence Hitchens; his beloved grandsons, Corey Hitchens and wife, Jessica, Alex Hitchens and wife, Diana, and Max Berster; his beloved great granddaughters, Ava, Brooke, Eevie and Chloe; his sister, Marie (Robert) Murray; his brother, Ed (Carol) Kaye; his mother-in-law, Florence Bellini Deldeo; as well as many additional family members and friends.
Family and friends are invited to visit at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Saturday, December 7 from 9:30 - 10:30AM. Funeral services will follow in the Chapel of Our Lady in Cathedral Cemetery, 2400 Lancaster Avenue, Wilmington at 11:15AM.
