James Davis

James R."Jim" Davis of Middletown, went home to be with the Lord while surrounded by his wife, Denise, his children and family, on Friday, January 31, 2014

Born in Wilmington, DE in 1945, Jim graduated from Wilmington High School then entered the military, Delaware Army National Guard. He worked for Ciba Specialty Chemicals for 42 years before retiring in January 2010. Jim loved woodworking, making furniture for his family, spending time with his children and grandchildren and watching the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles.

He will be most remembered for his love of family and friends, sense of humor and his giving spirit. Jim's loving and generous spirit will continue to touch lives with his desire to donate his body to research and science. We are comforted in our loss knowing that others may be helped thanks to his precious gift. His genuine kindness will remain in the hearts of many and he will be deeply missed.

Jim is preceded in death by his mother, Angeline Kudyk. Survived by his loving wife, Denise; children, Kimberly George (Matthew), Tracey George (Michael), Bryan Davis (Michelle), Stepchildren, Pamela Tackett-Haws (Justin), Laura Tackett-Adcock (Josh); grandchildren, Liam, Amber, Taylor, Maggie, Ayana, Hattie, Jackson, Juliann, and Bennett; great grandson Aiden; his sister JoAnn Dzielak (Paul) and nephew Phil Dzielak (Julie).
