1942 - 2014 Obituary Condolences
Gary R. Truver, Sr.

Age 71 of Wilmington, passed away on February 15, 2014.

Gary was born in Pittsburgh, PA on May 28, 1942. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy. Gary had been a longtime well-driller, retiring at the age of 69 following 39 years of exemplary service with the Walton Corporation. He was a skilled and self-taught craftsman. Gary was selfless and generous, frequently donating to charities benefiting American Indians. He will also be remembered for his endlessly loyal and passionate support of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Above all, Gary was unconditionally devoted to his family.

Gary is survived by his devoted wife of 43 years, Fran (Brennan) Truver; children, Jennie Conrad and her husband Craig, Gary Jr. and his wife Cathy, and Jason and his wife Stacy; grandchildren, Tommy, Haley, Mac, Meah, Riley, and Brenan; sister, Diane Truver; sisters-in-law, Joanne, Marie, and Lorina; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 4th and Bancroft in Wilmington, on Friday morning, February 21 at 11am. Entombment will follow in Cathedral Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the CHARLES P. ARCARO FUNERAL HOME, 2309 Lancaster Ave. in Wilmington, on Thursday evening, February 20 from 6-8pm, and again on Friday morning, prior to mass, from 9:30-10:30am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia Society, Donor Services, P.O. Box 4072, Pittsfield, MA 01202.
