Bill Geib passed away at home peacefully, surrounded by family and friends on February 28, 2014, following a long, courageous battle with cancer. Bill was born in Columbia, TN.
He graduated from Concord HS in 1972 and went on to receive his accounting degree from Muskingham College in 1976. For most of Bill's career he worked as a painting contractor, most recently as co-owner of Brandywine Custom Painting. Bill's true passion in life was his family. He could be seen on the sidelines of all of his sons' numerous sporting events and loved spending time at the beach and mountains with his family. Bill was an avid racquetball and tennis player.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife Janet, his 2 sons Taylor of Arlington, VA., and Jonathan of Wilmington. He is also survived by his parents Arthur and Norrine Geib of Wilmington, his sister Kathy Rogers (Wade) of West Chester, PA., and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday evening, March 5, from 6-8pm at MCCRERY AND HARRA FUNERAL HOMES, 3924 Concord Pike, Wilmington. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Mary Magdalen Church, 7 Sharpley Road, Wilmington, on Thursday, March 6th at 10am followed by burial at St. Joseph's on the Brandywine Cemetery.
