Frank D. Henry, III, 55, of Smyrna, Delaware passed away peacefully on March 30, 2014. He was born on April 29, 1958 in Wilmington, Delaware to Frank Henry Jr. and Grace Henry. Frank graduated from Smyrna High in 1976. After graduating from high school, Frank enlisted in the Army National Guard. He later worked for General Motors in Newport, Delaware for 31 years. After retiring from General Motors, he worked for Securitas Security in Dover, Delaware. Frank submitted his life to Christ at an early age. He was a longtime member of Bethel A.M.E. Church, in Smyrna, Delaware, and was a current member of Mount Friendship A.M.E. Church, also in Smyrna, Delaware. At Mount Friendship A.M.E. Church, he served as President of the Usher Board, and President of the Lay Organization. He also was a volunteer at The Gift of Life for over 7 years. Frank was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed coaching little league baseball. He coached Smyrna Little League for 28 years, and Dover Little League for 2 years.

Frank was preceded in death by two brothers, Derek, and David; and one sister, Glenda Ford. Frank will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Vina Henry; mother, Grace Henry; father, Frank Henry Jr.; children, Frank Henry IV, (Kim), Quwinley Redding, Shontae Redding, and Tasha Redding; and godson, Jai Wright. He is also survived by five brothers, Roger, Duncan, Dwayne, Don, and Daniel; two sisters, Joyce and Diana; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Viewing will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, April 4, 2014, at Mount Friendship A.M.E. Church, 1761 Mount Friendship Road, Smyrna, Delaware 19977. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Frank's honor can be made to The Gift of Life Donor Program, Attention: Memorial Tributes, 401 N. 3rd Street, Philadelphia, PA. 19123.
