Maryanne Giovannozzi Brinsfield , age 55, of Earleville, MD, previously of Pike Creek, DE passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2014.

A life of laughter,

A life of fun,

A life filled with love,

Shared to the end with

family and friends.

Mary was born in Wilmington, DE on June 28, 1958 to the late Louise and Albert Baron. She graduated from Conrad High School and Delaware Technical and Community College and received a BS in Nursing from Immaculata University. Mary married Glenn Brinsfield on October 8, 2010.

Mary lived life with a focus on her family and was especially devoted to her sons and her grandchildren. She enjoyed trips, boating, and outdoor activities with her husband and made travel to visit family a high priority. She also valued her career as a nurse at Christiana Hospital and prior to that at Professional Home Health Care. She will be fondly remembered for her laughter, her kindness to people and animals, her loyalty to family, and her unwavering faith in God and prayer.

Mary is survived by her husband, Glenn Brinsfield of Earleville MD; and her two sons and their families: Nicholas Giovannozzi III of Aston, PA, his wife Nicole and their children Ziva and Felicia; and Michael Giovannozzi of West Palm Beach, FL, his wife Eyra and their children Anthony, Sofia, Natasha, and Liana. She is also survived by six siblings: Thomas Baron of Millsboro, DE, George Baron of Newark, DE, Louise Conley (Gene) of Bear, DE, John Baron (Maureen) of Georgetown, DE, Rayanne Gillies (Peter) of Pennington, NJ, and Julia Ann Gra (Robert) of Lewis, DE; as well as numerous, loving nieces and nephews. Mary also had a special relationship with and is survived by her mother-in-law, Marion Brinsfield of North East, MD.

A visitation will be held from 1:30 to 3 pm on Sunday, April 27, at New Beginnings Christian Fellowship, 677 Dawson Drive, Newark, DE, 19713. A memorial service celebrating Mary's life will follow at 3 pm.
