AGE: 75 • Middletown

James A. (Jim) Crawford, Sr., age 75, of Middletown, DE passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 27, 2014.

He proudly served hs country in the US Army. Jim then worked for Boeing, retiring after 40 years of service. He started the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Knights of Columbus Council and was a founding member of Ancient Order of Hibernians District Two. He was an avid fan of Philadelphia sports and Notre Dame football. Jim enjoyed fishing and crabbing at the beach, going for walks, working in his yard; but most importantly, he loved spending time with his family.

Jim will be dearly missed by his wife of 46 years, Rose; son, James A. Crawford, Jr. (Dawn); daughters, Lisa R. Seal (Michael) and Megan M. Rock (Steven); grandchildren: Austin, Jared, Alyssa, Jenna, and Erin; brothers, John Crawford (Betsy) and Joseph Crawford; sisters: Lorraine Gagliardi (Joseph), Susanne Smith (Stephen), and Nellie Dudnick; and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Monday, May 5, 2014 from 6-8 pm at the Strano and Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Road, Newark, DE 19702. A second visitation will be held the following morning from 10:30-11:30 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 345 Bear Christiana Rd, Bear, DE 19701. Mass will follow at 11:30. Burial will be in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE. The Crawford family wishes to thank the staff of 4E at Christiana Hospital and Season's Hospice for their care and compassion and his church family for all of their support.
