AGE: 83 • Wilmington

Margaretta Sbraccia, 83 of Wilmington, passed away on May 3, 2014 surrounded by her loving husband and children.

Marge was the daughter of the late Michael and Julia Serdula of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Having been together for 62 years, with their 63rd wedding anniversary approaching, Marge is survived by her husband, Anthony Sbraccia, and their children: Michael Sbraccia (Brenda), Cynthia Nantais (Gary), Perry Sbraccia, Julia Sbraccia, and Maria Colby (Troy). Marge's grandchildren, Jessica Reno, Julia Reno Downes (Tyler), Giana Reno, Michael Nantais, Jonathan and Jordan Sbraccia, Robert Smith, Sr. and family and her great-grandchildren, Mason and Ivy Downes, will greatly miss their loving grandmother. Marge is also survived by her sisters, Helen Borden and Julia Cain of Pittsburgh, PA, as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Maria Serdula and Ann Petyak, and her brother, Michael Serdula.

Marge retired in 1997 from the Christina School District after 27 years of service as an administrative secretary. She loved cooking, baking and gathering her family together for birthday and holiday celebrations. She also enjoyed keeping in touch with extended family members and friends via email and Facebook.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at 11:00am at Resurrection Parish, 3000 Videre Drive, Wilmington, DE 19808. Burial will be held privately with Marge's family.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Food Bank of Delaware, 14 Garfield Parkway, Newark, DE 19713, or the Ministry of Caring, 506 North Church Street, Wilmington, DE, 19801. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Christiana Care Cardiovascular Critical Care Complex for their kindness and compassion during this difficult time.
