The Guest Book is expired.
Marie Antoinette Zoli, age 96 of Wilmington, DE, died on Thursday, May 9, 2014 at the Franciscan Care Center in Hockessin, DE. Marie was born on April 30, 1918 in Eddystone, PA, daughter of the late Louis V. and Grace Caputo, and grew up the 5th of 12 children in a loving family. Throughout her life, Marie fondly reminisced the wonderful times she shared with her parents, 2 sisters, 9 brothers, and friends in Toughkenamon, PA. She deeply loved God and her family.
For many years, Marie worked in retail. Very much like her mother, she loved everyone, and she was always happy to be of service to them. Throughout her many years on Earth, and her long battle with diabetes, Marie always tried to spread a little sunshine with a warm smile and a sincere compliment, and when she was well, with a little something she cooked or had grown from home. She loved to travel God's world with her husband, Darius, and to spend time with her family and friends. She was a great cook, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Darius, (died May 10, 2001); sister, Rose Salvato; brothers, Anthony, Virgil, Vincent, Dominick, William, John (died serving in WWII), Louis, Paul, and Robert; and by her son-in-law, Thomas Yonko.
She is survived by her sister, Grace Camoirano; daughters, Connie Faraone (John), Darlene Yonko, and Daria Taviano (Dino); grandchildren, Grace Faraone, Andrea Rhen (Rod), Christina Corr (Daryl), Thomas Yonko, Darin Taviano, Brett Taviano, and Jeffrey Taviano; great-grandchildren, Hayden Corr, Fiona Corr, Rod Rhen, and Janae Rhen; and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Marie's family wishes to thank the staff at Franciscan Care Center for their attentive care of Marie for many years, and also to the staff of Compassionate Care Hospice for their helpful and loving services.
