Linda A. Rokita Cravens passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, June 17, 2014 at Regal Heights Healthcare & Rehab Center. She was born in Ohio on January 6, 1951. Linda was the daughter of the late Andrew Rokita and Norma Cadonic Rokita.
At the age of eight Linda and her family moved to Middletown Delaware. She attended Middletown High where she was a majorette in the band. Shortly after graduation she began her career with the State of Delaware at the DMV on Airport Road in New Castle. After she moved to Dover, Linda remained with the State of Delaware starting her position at Court #7 as Assistant Chief Clerk up to her retirement in 2002.
Linda enjoyed skiing, ice skating, bowling and Wednesday visits to the "slots" with her girlfriends. She loved her dogs and always enjoyed any time spent with family, especially her nieces and nephews.
Linda is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Rick and Diane Rokita; nieces and nephews, Bryan and Kim Crossan, Dana and Tim Dean, Lori and Anthony Argiroudis, Andy Rokita; great nieces and nephews, Sophia, Nathan and Averie Crossan, George and Dominic Argiroudis. She will be sadly missed by extended family and friends.
Thank you to the staff at Regal Heights for their diligence in caring for Linda during her struggle with Huntington's Disease. A special hug goes out to Linda's girl Deidra.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 23 at 12:30 pm at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Rd., Pike Creek where friends may visit form 11am -12:30 pm. Burial will be private.
