William Granville Marcus

William Granville Marcus passed away peacefully on May 7,2014. He was born in Elkton, MD., on March 1, 1923 and served in the U.S. Navy in WW2 where he was awarded the Pacific Theater Ribbon, Good Conduct Ribbon, American Theater Ribbon, Victory Medal and Philippine Liberation Ribbon. He is predeceased by his 1st wife, Susan A. (Coxe) Marcus, a sister Audrey B. Doolittle, a brother E. Bennett Marcus, and a daughter, B. Gail Marcus. He is survived by his 2nd wife Jacqueline L. Marcus.

He retired from Diamond State Telephone Co and had a 2nd career in real estate and home building. He is also survived by his son William H. (Nanette) Marcus, grandsons, Ian. A (Jessica) Marcus, Randy (Kate) Pierce, Stacy (Cy) Toland, and 8 great grandchildren.
