Anne R. Nagle

AGE: 83 • Glen Mills, PA

Age 83, of Glen Mills, PA formerly of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 25, 2014 surrounded by her loving family.

Anne was born on December 8, 1930 in Wilmington, DE, daughter of the late Joseph and Madeline (Klund) Robben. She graduated from St. Elizabeth High School, Class of 1948, and Mount St. Scholastica College (now Benedictine College) in Atchison, KS, Class of 1952; Magna Cum Laude. She was united in marriage to Ronald I. Nagle on July 13, 1963 at St. Elizabeth's Church in Wilmington, DE. They were married for 48 wonderful years before he preceded her in death on February 27, 2011.

Anne worked at Hercules, Inc. for 25 years. She left the company for a period of time to start a family and later teach at St. John the Beloved Elementary school before returning and retiring in 1993. Anne enjoyed a variety of sports and hobbies including golf, genealogy, photography, bocce, mahjong, and travel. She also enjoyed vacations with her family, spending time with her friends, and being with her three grandchildren, whom she dearly loved.

Anne had developed many lasting friendships over her life from childhood at St. Elizabeth's parish up to her retirement in Bethany Beach, DE and Maris Grove, Glen Mills, PA. She often spoke of how lucky she was to have met such wonderful people, developing great and lasting friendships.

Anne will be dearly missed by her sons, Michael, his wife Jennifer (Ondik), and their children, Shannon and Matthew; Daniel, his wife Pamela (Lyons), and their son, Connor, as well as her sister Mary Searle (Robben) of Springfield, VA, relatives, and many life-long friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th between 6 and 8 PM at Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE and on Thursday morning between 10 and 11 AM at St. John the Beloved Church, 907 Milltown Road, Wilmington, DE, where Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Anne's name to St. Elizabeth Elementary School, 809 S. Broom Street, Wilmington, DE 19805. www.mealeyfuneralhomes.com
