Sandra Paski Conner, of New Castle, DE, passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2014 surrounded by her family.

Sandra was born in Wilmington, DE on July 3, 1942 to Mary Ellen Stirlith and Eugene C. (Pajewski) Paski. She was a lifelong resident of Delaware, graduating from Christ Our King Elementary School in 1956 and Ursuline Academy with the class of 1960. She also attended the University of Delaware. She was secretary of the class of the 1960 reunion committee and a member of the lunch bunch. Sandy was employed by Diamond State Telephone and AT&T, holding many different positions retiring in 1989 as manager of the Delaware AT&T Phone Center Store. She then worked in telecommunication at MBNA until she was forced into retirement due to a heart disability.

In 1986 Sandy married William A Conner, Sr., her husband of 26 years. Bill and Sandy loved to travel and go to the beach. More than anything they loved their six grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Michael R. Scott and his wife Susan of Garnet Valley, PA; stepdaughter, Sallie Ann Conner of Wilmington, DE; stepson, William A. (Tony) Conner of Kennett Square, PA; 6 grandchildren; sister, Carole and brother-in-law Angelo (Dee) Pinghera of Wilmington, DE; a very special sister- in- law, Kathleen Shaw of New Castle, DE; and friend, Barbara Hail. In addition to her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, in 2013; son, Jefferey D. Scott in 2011; and nephew and Godson, Brian Pinghera in 2006.

A visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 in the Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Road, Newark, DE 19702. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 801 North duPont Boulevard, New Castle, Delaware 19720. Burial will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Practice Without Pressure, Inc., Attn: Jackie Armstrong, 2470 Sunset Lake Road, Newark, DE 19702.
