Mr. Jeffrey David Kulas, age 27, of Elkton, MD, formerly of Newark, DE, died suddenly on Tuesday, June 5, 2007. Born in Wilmington on September 12, 1979, Jeff attended St. Hedwig's School and served as an altar boy. He also played youth league baseball. A 1997 graduate of Glasgow High School, he attended the University of Delaware. A young man of great comedic talent, Jeff was quoted in his high school yearbook saying that his dream was to "stand in front of a large group and make people laugh." He was a gifted singer and guitarist as well, and had plans to form a band with other local musicians. Jeff had also hoped to join the Navy in the near future to train as a pilot. Currently, he was employed as a professional landscaper with A Touch of Grass in Newark.
He is survived by his father, Francis L. Kulas, Jr., of Elkton; his mother, Barbara Sue McNatt, of Bear; his brother, Francis L. Kulas III and wife, Jennifer S., of Wilmington; nephew, Quinn Kulas; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends may call from 6-8 pm, on Sunday, June 10, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 W. Park Place, Newark. Friends may call again from 10-11 am, on Monday, June 11, at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:30 pm, at St. Hedwig RC Church, Linden and S. Harrison Streets, Wilmington. Interment will be in Cathedral Cemetery, 2400 Lancaster Avenue, Wilmington.
