John KLEITZ

John G. Kleitz,Sr. "Jack" Age 73, formerly of Brandywine Hundred, passed away after a long illness on March 5, 2003 at Beebe Hospital, Lewes, DE. John began his career in the family jewelry business, B. Kleitz & Bro., in 1960. He and his father, the late George Kleitz, opened a Penn Jersey store in New Castle. His love of cars followed him throughout his life and he especially enjoyed NASCAR racing. John loved his family and enjoyed having them nearby. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Lois; his sons, John, Jr. and his wife, Sharyn of Lewes, William and his wife, Diane and David and his wife, Donna, all of Wilmington; 4 grandchildren, Kathryn, Stacy, William and Michael Kleitz; 2 great-grandchildren, John James Kleitz and Lexus Wright; 1 sister, Barbara Yeatman and her husband, James of West Grove, PA; 2 nephews, Steven & Gerald; and 1 niece, Jennifer. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his mother, Kathryn Kleitz. The funeral service will be at 11:45 am on Tuesday, March 11 at the chapel of Gracelawn Memorial Park, where friends may call after 11 am.
