Age 54 of Wilmington, DE passed away Monday, September 5, 2005, at home surrounded by his loving family.
Craig was born on August 19, 1951, in Woodbury, NJ. Early in his life, he was an Explorer Scout, played tennis and was active in cross-country and the drama club. He received his master's degree from Colorado State University, and was then employed by DuPont for 26 years. As a well-known industry expert in polyimide technology, he conceived and was Program Chairman for the DuPont Symposium on Polymers and Electronics, an international meeting held annually for scientists at Winterthur. Craig was a member of Green Hill Presbyterian Church, where he served as president of the trustees and as a Sunday School teacher. He was an avid collector of antique trains and a British sports car enthusiast. Business and personal travel took Craig on numerous trips to Europe, Japan, Southeast Asia and the Caribbean.
He was predeceased by his parents, Theresa and George Schuckert. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 27 years, Nancy (Boughan) Schuckert; daughters, Amanda E. and Emily R.; his brother, Mark A. Schuckert of Flemington, NJ, and his wife, Laura; his aunt, Dorothy Rule of Woodbury Height, NJ; his uncle, Fred Schuckert, of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, and his wife, Kay; his aunt, Ann Fritchman of Bethlehem, PA, and her husband, George; his aunt, Ellen Donchez, of Bethlehem, PA; his aunt, Theresa Fartel of Bethlehem, PA; and his cousins, Carol Gerenser of Doylestown, PA, Eileen McGovern of Springfield, PA, Charles Donchez of Hellertown, PA, Holly Friedman of Bethlehem, PA, Dorothy Freece of Landsdale, PA and Fred Schuckert of Woodbury, NJ; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, business associates and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 9, at 11:30 am at Green Hill Presbyterian Church, 3112 Kennett Pike, Wilmington, where family and friends may visit beginning at 10 am. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Delaware Hospice, 3515 Silverside Road, Wilmington, DE 19810; or Green Hill Presbyterian Church, 3112 Kennett Pike, Wilmington, DE 19807.
