Edward L. Nolan

Age 85, of Claymont, passed away on February 5, 2011. He was the husband of the late Ann B. Nolan with whom he shared 48 years of marriage.

Born in Philadelphia PA, he was the son of the late John J. and Margaret Leonard Nolan. Edward was a member of Holy Rosary Church and attended daily Mass. He was a member of Knights of Columbus, Christopher Council in Claymont.

Edward was U.S. Marine veteran who served his country during WWII in the South Pacific. After the war, Edward was a railroad worker in Philadelphia for almost 40 years.

Edward is survived by his children: Edward, Mark, Teresa Ewald and husband Jeffrey, Fr. Timothy and David; grandchildren: Matthew, Thomas, Daniel and Michael; and sister: Mary. He was predeceased by his sister Betty.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the viewing from 6 to 8 pm on Tuesday, February 8, at Holy Rosary Church, 3200 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703 with a vigil service starting at 8 pm. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 9 at 10:30 am at Holy Rosary Church. Interment will be All Saints Cemetery.
