Singleton Sr.

Richard E. Singleton Sr., age 66, of Newark, DE, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2011. Richard was born on May 13, 1944 to the late Harry E. Singleton Sr. and Mildred (Flick) Singleton in Johnstown, PA.

Richard worked in manufacturing as a machine operator. He enjoyed fast cars, motorcycles, his swimming pool and visiting Cape May, NJ.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Richard "Gene" Singleton Jr. and his brother, Harry Singleton.

He is survived by his wife, Michele "Mickey" Singleton of Newark, DE; sister, Mildred Farren and her husband Jack of Newark, DE; numerous nieces and nephews, especially Christine Williamson and Mike Singleton; as well as extended family and children that he "adopted" over the years.

Services will be held 11 am on Tuesday, March 1, at the Gracelawn Memorial Chapel, 2220 N. DuPont Highway, New Castle, DE 19720. Friends and family may visit starting at 10 am. Burial will be at Gracelawn Memorial Park following the service.
