Nathaniel Reeves

Nathaniel Reeves died peacefully at home on March 9, 2012 at the age of 82. He was loved and is survived by his wife, Delores; children, Nathaniel Jr., Michael, Marilyn, and Jesse (Kanchalee); grandchildren, Kyanna, Michael II, Olivia, and Graeme; brother, Charles Reeves, sister, Eleanor Thomas; and, a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Nathaniel's career in education began as a teacher and ended as a chief school administrator. He was athletic as a youth and coached sports as an adult. He broke racial barriers as a disbursing clerk in the U.S. Navy. In his later years, he proudly served as a deacon while a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Chester, PA, his hometown.

Nathaniel had a full and meaningful life. He was devoted to his family.

The family is very grateful to the staff of Delaware Hospice for compassionate services rendered during his lengthy illness. Should you wish to do so, a donation to them would honor him.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 17, at 10 am at First & Central Presbyterian Church, 1101 N. Market Street, Wilmington, DE 19801. 302-654-5371.
