Shirley A. Premo

Shirley A. Premo, age 85, of Middletown, DE departed this life into her everlasting life on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 surrounded by her family. Shirley was born in Elgin, Illinois on November 28, 1927, the oldest of five children to Margaret Kribbs and Fred Joseph Dodgen. She graduated from Salem High School in 1944. She later attended Delaware Technical and Community College and became a LPN at age 52 and worked for 18 years at Rockford Center until her retirement.

Shirley will be remembered for her creativity, artistry, tenacity and determination. Shirley loved to decorate, do crossword puzzles, play piano and study the Word of God. Shirley's God given articulate passion for expression through writing was often displayed as she shared deeply moving and inspirational poetry with her church family/friends during Sunday Services. These writings will be a cherished life-long legacy portraying the Father's Heart toward His beloved bride.

Shirley is survived by her son, Jeffrey L. Premo and wife Linda; daughters, Kathleen A. Barbato and husband John, Kelly P. Dashiell and husband Ryan; daughter-in-law, Sayonara Premo; brothers, Dennis and David Dodgen; sister, Nancy Molitor; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
