Dale T. Bleacher, Sr.

Dale Thompson Bleacher, Sr. of Wilmington, DE passed away on August 20, 2013 surrounded by his loving wife of 63 years and his family.

Born in Lancaster County, PA on March 3, 1929, Dale was predeceased by his loving parents; 4 brothers; and 1 sister. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Evelyn Smith Bleacher; his sons, Dale Bleacher (Norma), Barry Bleacher (Gail), Allan Bleacher (Kathy); his daughter, Sherrie Foti (Rich); his grandchildren, Danielle Coyne, Brian Bleacher, Rachel Bleacher, Stephanie Miller, Ryan Foti, Brooke Zicarelli and Allan Bleacher, Jr.; and his 6 great grandchildren.

Dale was employed with Delaware Coach (presently DART), and went on to become the owner and operator of Wilkinson Roofing and Siding, Inc. for 35 years, retiring in 1990. A veteran of the United States Air Force, he proudly served our country during the Korean War. Dale was a member of Red Clay Creek Presbyterian Church. He was also a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of Armstrong Lodge #26 and a member of the Nur Temple. Dale served as Past Director of ROJ and Past President of Mid Atlantic Jesters.

A visitation will be held at Red Clay Creek Presbyterian Church, 500 McKennans Church Road, Wilmington on Saturday, August 24 from 9:30 - 11:15AM. Masonic Services will begin at 11:15AM, with Funeral Services following at 11:30AM. Interment will be held privately for his family on Monday, August 26.
