Alice Jean Stamper Sprinkle, age 77, of Spurrier Road (Bluewell), Bluefield, WV passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital in Huntington, WV. Born on April 30, 1936 in Ashland, she was a daughter of the late Earl Ray and Mamie Poole Stamper. She was a 1954 graduate of McComas High School and was a graduate of McLains Business College. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and was a member of the Montcalm United Methodist Church. She loved her heavenly father, her parents, sisters, and her sons and their families.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Sprinkle; a brother, Howard Stamper; a sister, Alma Satterwhite; and a granddaughter, Alison Jean Sprinkle. Survivors include 2 sons, James Michael of Newark, DE, Glen Richard Sprinkle of Bear, DE; 5 grandchildren, Kristin Richardson, Sarah and Morgan Sprinkle, Melandie Jeandell, and Michael Sniadecki; 2 great grandchildren; 3 sisters,Earlene Stamper of Bluefield, Eula Shrewsbury and Thomas of Bluefield, Barbara Moody and Bryant of Rock.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at 7:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Pastor Melody Rickman officiating. Friends may call from 6:00-8:00 at the funeral home. Graveside services will be conducted on Friday at 10:00AM at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home on Friday at 9:30 AM.
