Lois "Loddie Lu" Sheldon, age 73, of Claymont, DE, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 14, 2014 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Wilmington, Lois was the daughter of the late Archie and Helen (Lane) Boone. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. Lois was a kind hearted woman who always put others before herself. She enjoyed playing pokeno, cards, and slot machines. She also enjoyed embroidery and talking on the phone.

Lois is survived by her son, Raymond A. Sheldon, III (Kim); daughters, Donna L. Hayes (Roy) and Lois A. Sheldon (Bob); grandchildren: Patrick (Jenn), Tracey (John, III), Raymond, IV (Jamie), Joanna, Leann, and James; great grandchildren, Shaine, Joshua, John, IV, Savannah, and Kaidence; sisters: Catherine Hearn, Marguerite Pierce (Gerry), Doris Shelby, and Frances Dotson (Tommy); sister in laws, Shirley Boone and Carolyn Linton; and many loving nieces, nephews, and other family members. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Raymond A. Sheldon, Jr.; granddaughter, Kelley Lynn; brothers: John Lane, Charlie, Joseph, William, and Edward Boone; and sisters, Helen Lougheed and Mary Hall.

A visitation will be held from 10-11 AM on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 in the Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Road, Newark, DE 19702 followed by a service in celebration of Lois' life at 11 AM.
