AGE: 75 •
Mildred was born in Wilmington, DE to the late Marion and Julia Cartwright on December 7th, 1938. She passed away at her home on Friday, September 12th, 2014.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She was an activist and involved with many charities. She will be dearly missed.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Robert Hayden, her son, Steven J, Hayden, her brother, Paul Cartwright and by her sisters, Judith Knotts, Patricia Raker and Maureen Bunge.
Mildred is survived by, her sons, Robert Hayden and Edward Hayden, her daughter, Cynthia Hayden Plunkett, her grandchildren, Brittany & Zachary Plunkett, Robert, II, Brandi and Stephanie Hayden, her brothers, William, Joseph and Butch Cartwright, and her sister, Elizabeth Eysaldt.
A funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE 19720 on Thursday, September 18th at 11am, where visitation will be held beginning at 10am. Entombment will be in the adjoining cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mildred may be sent to the local American Heart Association.
