Earl I miss you and Mary Ann more than you know. You were both so special to me and came into my life at the worse time. We had just lost our kids we became support for each other. I was lucky to have you in my life and miss you

I miss you; but know that you are near, and I think about you often......"now what would Earl do?" while still doing what you so aptly and graciously taught me to do 23 years ago

Wish you were here...miss your laugh, your goofy jokes, your quick wit and good humor...we ALL do...;)
And every summer, when we cook crabs, I think about that hilarious story of you conducting crab races on your kitchen floor to the dismay of your wife...omg...so funny

Four years...I can not believe it has been four years....the is a hole in this community because you have slipped through....you are in my thoughts always, as there is rarely a day that goes by that some impact of your generosity and wisdom does not guide me in some way...thanks always Earl...

I think of Earl and Maryanne often. Such a loss for so many. And so senseless. You should still be here making corny jokes and chasing golf balls. I miss you both.

Earl I always looked forward to taking continuing education classes with you as the instructor. I remember those great stories you'd tell and your sense of humor. You always kept us laughing as much as you kept us learning. Always with a smile on face. I take comfort in knowing that people like you can only be resting in peace because you were truly one of the good guys!

Daddy,
I miss you so much! I know it will be 2 years, however I still feel like it was only yesterday that I lost you. I talk about you everyday. I think about you and one of you goofy sayings everyday. I remember everything you taught me. I keep my memories close all the time. My heart is broken and I will never be the same. Please watch over all of us and give us the strength to keep going. I love you and miss you so much! Love, your daughter Keely

Dear Earl, Yesterday I stopped at the roadside marker of your grandson, who died so tragically in that car accident over 17 yrs ago.......you were teaching the "How to Become an Appraiser" course at the time of his death and we, the students, weren't sure what would happen after we heard the news. However, being the extraordinary man that you are, you came and taught the class the day after his death anyway. You were/are a true example of selflessness and the Golden Rule...........a giant of a man and a special human being..........we all cried with you and loved you even more for your strength..........maybe that's why you have moved on now............you are needed somewhere else to teach and share your gifts........so missing you every day and not a day goes by that I don't think of you in sweet sadness.

So sorry to hear about this terrible loss. I had the privilege of being Earl's student for about seven cycles of continuing education for appraisal license renewal, here in New Jersey. I was truly grateful each time I heard that he would once again be making the trip up to South Jersey to teach us. He made the classes interesting, informative and always a little fun with his stories. A dear friend of mine summed him up well when he told me the sad news..."he was a gentleman" he said. He was a gem! Rest in peace, dear Earl. God Bless you and your lovely wife. Many thoughts and prayers for your family and friends - Annie xxx

Saddend by his passing along with wife Mary Ann in thier Elkton home. Earl and I were class mates from 1954 to 1956 at Goldey-Beacom, then located at 10th & Jefferson, Wilmington. I too received AS degree in Business-Accounting. I recall using Earl's appraisal service in the 80's while living in Glenville,Stanton-Newport area. Peace be with you, Earl and MaryAnn.

Earl impacted so many of us in the real estate industry... even REALTORS who might not be familiar with his name. He was a consummate professional and an invaluable resource for all of us in the industry. May God grant peace to his family.

My deepest sympathy on the tragic loss of Mr. Loomis and his wife. I only knew him briefly through the board of Real Estate Appraisers and will miss him at our monthly meetings. "Death leaves a heartache no one can heal", " Love leaves a memory no one can steal".
