AGE: 68 • Pine Mountain
Richard F. Zahn (Rick) of Pine Mountain, GA, 68, died on August 11, 2015 in Cumming, GA.
Son of the late Richard and Jean Zahn and Husband of the late June E. Zahn. He is survived by two daughters; Heather Henderson (Jason Henderson) of Middletown, DE and Ingrid Harris of Cumming, GA; Sister Beverly Schraft of Summit, NJ and brother Bob Zahn of Bradenton, FL; Four grandchildren, Sean and Olivia Henderson of Middletown, DE and Sophia and Ty Harris of Cumming, GA.
Rick was a very thoughtful and generous man who will be missed and loved by all. He is finally able to join the love of his life in heaven. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Heartland Hospice at www.heartland hospice.com under Richard Zahn.

Ingrid, Heather and families--I was trying to do a search on your dad because we are approaching our 50th high school reunion, and your mom was especially on my mind. I'm so sorry that you lost him over a year ago. Your mom and dad are together again, and I hope all of your happy memories of them will continue on.

Heather Ingrid and family...I have known your dad for many many years but we lost touch. I am thankful that we re-connected in 2008. Last year we spent an awesome ten days in St. John. Your dad thoroughly enjoyed himself. We all had a truly amazing time; loved every moment spent with him..he brought so much... joy, laughter and his unique gentleness. We think of him often; miss him and are grateful that he touched our lives. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

I'm blessed to have known Rick, as well as his entire family. Always with that great smile and broadcaster voice, when I was around him he was a calming energy with no ego in the way. He will be missed.

Your Dad was a terrific man and a wonderful person who meant a lot to me throughout my life. I'm grateful to have spent some time with him earlier this month and will never forget that night. You were both so amazing taking care of him until the very end. He's in the comfort of his one and only love and smiling down on you with pride and gratitude. Soon the sadness will begin to abate and memories of love and laughter will blossom.
