Sharon V. Klahn of Wilmington, DE, died on September 30, 2015 under hospice care at St Francis Hospital. Sharon, aged 74, was the daughter of Arwen Spangler Jr and Madelyn Leibensperger. In addition to her parents, Sharon was predeceased by her sister Marilyn Spangler. She is survived by her husband of 34 years Robert Klahn Jr, her son Mark Swayze, and her grandson Ian Swayze.

While she worked at a number of different companies over the years, her latter years were spent at Columbia Gas and DuPont. At DuPont she worked in various administrative roles, and as a Human Resources assistant, providing editorial guidance on hiring, promotion and retirement announcements. She was a devout Christian and a long time member of West Wilmington Seventh-day Adventist Church where she served actively and faithfully.

Sharon enjoyed gardening, taking pictures, reading, cooking, and supporting the church in every way she could. She was a kindhearted and generous person who brought love and care to many friends and church family. She was known for her warm smile and gentle manner.

A memorial service in celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, October 7 at the West Wilmington Seventh-day Adventist Church, 3003 Millcreek Rd, Wilmington, DE 19808 from 6:00 - 7:30 pm, followed by a repast at Wilmington Junior Academy gym located on the same campus.
