AGE: 89 • Newark
Betty Marjorie Mutter, age 89, of Newark, DE, went home to be with her Lord Saturday, February 25, 2017. Betty loved the Lord supremely and was a member of Evangelical Presbyterian Church for 69 years. As a child she made wonderful memories at the beach and in her adult life loved spending time there - especially with the grandchildren. Betty enjoyed playing the piano, making crafts, and sewing. She was a great quilter and gourmet cook.
Betty is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Donald Mutter; sons, Garnet Mutter (Elizabeth) and Tim Mutter (Cindy); daughter, Marjorie Oliver (Colin); brothers: Dick Foster, Ralph Foster, Bob Foster, and Allen Foster; sisters: Adelene Robinson, Hazel Immediato, Mary Conway, and Jane Holden; 9 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Rhoda Foster; and 4 siblings.
A memorial service will be held Monday, March 6, 2017 at 11 AM at Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 308 Possum Park Rd., Newark, DE 19711. Burial will be private. For directions or to send an online condolence visit www.stranofeeley.com

It is hard to believe so much time has passed since dear Betty returned to her Lord and Savior. My memory of her has not faded and I miss her very much. She was a wonderful person, an excellent example of Christian service, a lovely Mother and Grandmother and friend. Her children should feel so blessed to have had her as their Mother and Grandmother. Her legacy of her love for Jesus and God's Word shines through everything she was and did. I know she is with other family that has gone before her and is safe in Jesus's arms now.

Dear Uncle Don, I was just made aware of Aunt Betty's passing. I know last is at long last in the arms of our Savior whom she served her entire life.

Aunt Betty's love for the Lord shined through everything she did. Her warmth, kindness and gentleness make me recall what the Apostle Paul wrote...
"but the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control."
She was an inspiration to me and I will miss her dearly.
May the God of all comfort comfort all of you today and in the coming days.
