Not sure what to say?

What an incredible, and appropriate service you held for Bob ! ! !
On a beautiful snow blanketed day, his service to his country was most evident as his flag draped coffin was saluted by his fellow fire fighters from Rose Tree Fire Co. as he entered his long time church at Media Methodist Church. As his flag draped coffin exited the church, it was a post card picture that I will remember forever

Robert J. Atz Jr. was one of my very best friends, and I witnessed first hand the many ways he paid his civic rent in the Media Area since 1964. My heart weeps for what I have lost. He was also one of the best neighbor my family has had in my lifetime. His children grew up with mine on the same street. I missed having morning coffee with him when I left town. No one will ever bury the fond memories I shared with a true and humble gentleman.

To Betty, Ron, Tony & the extended Atz family:

I would like to extend my personal condolences and those of the Media Fire Company on Bob's passing. The majority of today's Media Fire Company members knew Bob only as "the voice of Station 73". Those of us with hard time in the fire service remember him as an extremely dedicated, always dependable ambulance driver. I served as Fire Chief in Media during Bob's Media EMS years and knew he was always able to be counted upon. There are thousands of Media Area residents whose safe ride to the hospital was chauffeured by Bob.

to paraphrase 2 Timothy 4:
Bob fought the good fight and led a life of dedicated public service. The time of his departure has come, he has finished the worldly race.

Now there is in store for him the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to him on that day.

Life Eternal grant unto him oh Lord, may Your light perpetual shine upon him, may he rest in peace.

Deputy Chief
