James T. McGlynn, age 88, James T. McGlynn, age 88, of Havertown, PA died on Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Taylor Hospital. He was the husband of the late Rosemary Callahan McGlynn, who died in 2010. Jim was born on November 19, 1924 in Philadelphia, PA to the late John and Celia Carr McGlynn. He was a graduate of Southeast Catholic High School for Boys and a 1951 graduate of LaSalle College. He was a veteran of the US Navy during W.W. II and was a Philadelphia Police Officer, Detective, US Treasury Agent with ATF, and a criminal investigator for Housing and Urban Development. Jim was a member of LaSalle Alumni Association and the Millay Club-Southeast Catholic High School. Family: Father of James T. McGlynn, Jr. M.D. (Jacqueline), John L. McGlynn (Susan), Rosemary Ormsby (Mark), Nancy Valerio (Matthew), Joseph P. McGlynn (Maureen), Kathleen McDermott (Joseph); brother of Beatrice Zimmerman and the late Anne Carroll, Mary Bond, John McGlynn, and Joseph McGlynn. Also, survived by 14 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Services: Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jim's life celebration on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, from 9am-12pm, at the Logan Funeral Home, 57 South Eagle Road, Havertown, PA, followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 1pm, Annunciation BVM Church, 401 Brookline Blvd., Havertown, PA. Interment: Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery.
