Rose Gay Angela Rose Gay (nee Rosati), age 93 of Upper Darby, PA passed away peacefully on Friday, September 12, 2014 surrounded by her family. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Michele (Michael) and Palma (nee Mancini) Rosati, founders of Rosati Italian Water Ice. A strong and independent woman, Rose co-managed and did the bookkeeping for the family business. In the mid-1960s, Rose left the business to devote her time to her family and hobbies, which included sewing and crocheting blankets. An excellent cook, she made pasta sauce with a family recipe from Italy and loved to bake cookies and cakes to share with family and friends. She loved hosting dinners and picnics for her large extended family and was always the life of the party. Rose liked gardening and being outdoors and was an animal lover. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Gay (1985), and all ten of her siblings. She is survived by her children Deborah Kozol (Stephen) and John Gay (Diane Weaver), and her grandchild Kerri Kozol, as well as many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to an evening viewing on Friday, September 19, 2014 from 7 to 9 p.m., and a morning viewing on Saturday, September 20th from 8:30 to 9 a.m. at D'Allura Funeral Home, 2811 West Chester Pike, Broomall, PA (610-356-5900), as well as her Funeral Mass Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Laurence Church, Upper Darby, PA. Interment: SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
